0How to Run Your Business for Free
I am blogging right now from an auto service center. I need to do regular check up on my car to keep it problem free. I understand my tablets well, but certainly not my car; so I need help from the pros.
The check up takes about 2 hours, and luckily for me, there’s a waiting room – comes with free Internet access (not a WiFi, but it’s great, nevertheless…) and… free drinks and snacks!
I am fascinated – not because I can eat and drink as much as I like (well, a bit – I enjoy it somehow!) but it’s because I can actually write this blog post and manage my other web business while waiting for my car check up. 2 hours are simply enough to get most of my business management work done.
So – aside from the costs of the car check up, everything else is free; yep, it’s even better than working in a coffee shop in many sense!
This has led some tips popping out from my head, and here are some “lessons learned” for location independent business owners:
- Research your local area for free Internet access and/or WiFi – and if possible – free flowing snacks and drinks. This way you can reduce your business-related costs
- Store your important files on online storage services like Dropbox or Google Drive, so you don’t even need to have your own mobile devices to manage your business.
- Some public places offer free Internet access – make a good use of it!
So, there you go – any tips to add? If so please share yours by commenting on this post below…
